Flat-rate cleaning for apartments, co-ops, and retail spaces across Murray Hill, Manhattan. Vetted crews, published pricing, 7-day scheduling.
about us
Murray Hill is one of Midtown’s most densely populated residential neighborhoods — a mix of postwar rental buildings, prewar co-ops, and newer condos between 34th and 40th Streets, home to young professionals and established residents who value reliability over novelty. Cleaning Chief has served Murray Hill since 2020 with consistent crews and flat-rate pricing that doesn’t change based on building or floor. No surprises.

We use EPA Safer Choice products for kitchens, bathrooms, and floors.
Every service has a published flat rate. No hourly meter. You see the exact number before you book.

Our teams cover Murray Hill on the same schedule we run across Manhattan. Weekly maintenance, deep cleans, move-in and move-out turnovers, post-renovation cleanup, carpet and couch care, tile and grout work, floor buffing, window washing, and Airbnb turnovers are on our published flat-rate card. Carpet work follows the IICRC S100 carpet cleaning standard for extraction, drying, and soil management.
Pricing is flat. The number you see online is the number on your invoice. If your building has specific access rules, elevator windows, service-entrance requirements, or Certificate of Insurance filings, tell us when you book and we’ll plan around it.

Murray Hill packs an unusual number of people into a small footprint. Between 34th and 40th Streets you find postwar rental towers, prewar co-ops and newer condos, and many apartments house two or three roommates splitting the rent. That changes the math on cleaning. Shared bathrooms, shared kitchens and a steady flow of visitors mean surfaces get used by more hands than the bedroom count suggests. A two-bedroom with three residents needs more attention than a two-bedroom with a couple.
Postwar rentals dominate many blocks. They tend to have practical floor plans, standard tile, laminate or basic hardwood, and elevators that are reliable and always busy. Leases that start on the first of the month send move-in and move-out days into the same few weekends. A unit passed between roommates for several years often needs more than a light wipe before the next tenant arrives.
Grand Central sits a few blocks north, and the Empire State Building marks the neighborhood’s western edge. Plenty of residents leave early and return late, working in Midtown offices or riding Metro-North out of the city. Apartments stay empty for long stretches of the weekday, so dust settles undisturbed and mess piles up over weekends. Cleaning visits here lean toward mid-morning and early afternoon, when the unit is empty and the building is calm.
That routine suits recurring service well. A crew can finish before residents come home, and the apartment is reset for the evening without anyone rearranging their day around it.
Many Murray Hill buildings move a large volume of residents through a single lobby. Deliveries, moving carts, dry cleaning and guests share the same elevators, so service access matters. We plan around each building’s rules for service entrances and elevator reservations, particularly in the larger towers. Smaller buildings on the quieter cross streets follow a looser rhythm, with fewer restrictions and more stairs.
Short-term rental activity is common, and those units turn over fast. Between guests, small details show: fingerprints on glass, hair in drains, crumbs behind the toaster. Regular resets keep those from stacking up, and a consistent crew learns which apartments need the extra minutes in the bathroom and which need them in the kitchen.
