about us
Little Italy is only a few blocks long, but its walk-ups above Mulberry Street cafes and renovated units on Mott and Elizabeth Streets keep a steady mix of longtime residents, newer owners and short-term guests. Cleaning Chief has served Manhattan since 2020, and Little Italy is on our regular route. Same crew, flat rate, no fine print.

We use EPA Safer Choice products for kitchens, bathrooms, and floors.
Every service has a published flat rate. No hourly meter. You see the exact number before you book.

Our teams cover Little Italy on the same schedule we run across Manhattan. Weekly maintenance, deep cleans, move-in and move-out turnovers, post-renovation cleanup, carpet and couch care, tile and grout work, floor buffing, window washing, and Airbnb turnovers are on our published flat-rate card. For asthma-sensitive homes we follow American Lung Association guidance on cleaning products and indoor air.
Pricing is flat. The number you see online is the number on your invoice. If your building has specific access rules, elevator windows, service-entrance requirements, or Certificate of Insurance filings, tell us when you book and we’ll plan around it.

Little Italy is a few blocks long and carries more street life than neighborhoods ten times its size. Mulberry Street lines up cafes, red-sauce restaurants and bakeries with apartments above, and tenements on Mott and Elizabeth Streets hold small walk-ups that have been home to families for generations. In September the Feast of San Gennaro takes over Mulberry Street for more than a week, with food stalls, music and crowds that reshape how anyone gets in and out of the area.
For a cleaning crew, that calendar matters. Street closures and heavy foot traffic limit where a vehicle can stop, and carrying supplies through a crowd takes extra time. Visits during feast week run on a tighter clock, with earlier arrivals and equipment carried in from a few blocks away. Outside the feast, outdoor dining sheds and sidewalk tables narrow the street all year, so arrival times are planned around lunch and dinner service. Many residents prefer daytime visits that finish before dinner service begins and the street fills up.
Apartments here are compact. A one-bedroom might have a galley kitchen, a bathroom with its original tile and a living room that doubles as a bedroom. Restaurants downstairs mean cooking smells and a steady stream of kitchen exhaust, which settle on curtains, upholstery and range hoods. Residents who cook at home add to the load. Regular visits keep grease and odor from building up in fabric and cabinetry, and short, frequent cleanings tend to work better than occasional long ones in rooms this small. Bathrooms with original tile and tight ventilation hold moisture, so grout and caulk lines get regular attention too.
Many of Little Italy’s old tenements have been renovated in recent years, turning cramped units into polished apartments with new kitchens, tile and fixtures. Renovation leaves behind plaster dust, paint overspray and adhesive residue that a standard visit cannot remove. Post-construction cleaning here involves carrying materials up narrow stairs and working around building rules for contractors, so booking it as soon as the crew finishes keeps dust from settling into the new finishes. After that, a recurring routine protects the kitchen, the bathroom tile and the floors that the renovation just paid for.
