Subscribtion Policy

Subscription Policy

Effective date: April 28, 2026

At a glance

Our subscription program gives you scheduled, recurring cleaning service at a subscriber rate, with priority booking and flexible day-before cancellation.

Things to know before you subscribe:

Your subscription auto-renews. Once you subscribe, your payment method is automatically charged at the start of each billing cycle (typically monthly) until you cancel.

You can cancel anytime, online, in seconds. Log in to your account → Subscription → Cancel. No phone call, no letter, no save-attempt traps. We send a confirmation email when your cancellation is processed.

We remind you before each renewal. You’ll get an email reminder at least 15 days before each renewal showing the upcoming charge and a one-click cancel link.

Refunds for unused visits. If you cancel mid-cycle, request a refund for unused visits at least one week before the cycle ends and we process it within 3 business days. Promotional discounts applied to completed visits are deducted from the refund.

Subscriber benefits. Cancel or reschedule by 8:00 PM ET the day before your service with no fee. One complimentary same-day waiver every 90 days. Priority access to preferred cleaning professionals.

By subscribing, you affirmatively consent to these auto-renewal terms. The full policy is below.

1. What the subscription includes

The Cleaning Chief subscription program is a recurring cleaning service plan. Your subscription confirmation email lists exactly what your plan includes:

  • The service type (residential maid, commercial, etc.).
  • The frequency (weekly, biweekly, monthly).
  • The scope of each visit (square footage, rooms, tasks).
  • Your subscriber rate, including any introductory discount and how long it applies.
  • The Vacuum Delivery tier you’ve selected, if any (see Terms and Conditions §3).

If you want to change the scope, frequency, or any other aspect of your plan, contact us at info@cleaningchief.com or update your plan in your account.

2. Auto-renewal — how it works

Affirmative consent at signup. When you subscribe, you check a separate auto-renewal consent box that confirms you understand:

  • Your subscription will renew automatically each billing cycle.
  • The amount you will be charged at each renewal.
  • The cancellation method (see §3).

You cannot subscribe without checking this box. Consent to auto-renewal is captured separately from your acceptance of our Terms and Conditions, in compliance with New York General Business Law §527-a and the FTC Negative Option Rule.

Renewal cycle. Your subscription renews on the first day of each new billing cycle, which begins the day after your current cycle ends. The cycle length (most plans: 1 month) is shown on your booking page and in your subscription confirmation email.

Renewal charge. At the start of each cycle, we charge your payment method on file the recurring fee shown on your booking page. The charge appears on your statement as “Cleaning Chief Subscription.”

Renewal reminder. At least 15 days before each renewal, we email you a reminder showing:

  • The upcoming renewal date.
  • The amount we’ll charge.
  • A one-click link to cancel.
  • A link to update your payment method or change your plan.

For subscriptions with a term of 12 months or longer, we send a renewal reminder at least 30 days before each annual renewal.

3. How to cancel

You can cancel any time, online, in seconds. Cancellation is at least as easy as signup — no phone call required, no written letter, no representative call, no save-attempt traps.

To cancel:

  1. Log in to your Cleaning Chief account.
  2. Go to Subscription → Cancel Subscription.
  3. Confirm your cancellation.

We send a confirmation email to the address on file when your cancellation is processed.

If you can’t access your account online, email cancel@cleaningchief.com from your account email address, or call (332) 232-3422. We process the cancellation the same business day.

Effective date of cancellation. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. You keep access to scheduled services through that date. You will not be charged again unless you re-subscribe.

No save-attempt traps. When you cancel, we won’t require you to listen to a sales pitch, complete a survey, or click through additional offers before processing your cancellation. After your cancellation is processed, we may email you once with a pause option you can decline by ignoring.

4. Refunds for unused visits

If you cancel mid-cycle and have unused visits remaining in that cycle, you may be eligible for a refund.

To request a refund:

  • Submit your request in writing (email cancel@cleaningchief.com) at least one week before the end of the current billing cycle.
  • We process eligible refunds within 3 business days to the original payment method.

How the refund is calculated:

  • We start with the per-visit value of your plan — the recurring fee divided by the number of visits in the cycle.
  • We subtract any promotional or introductory discount that was applied to visits already completed in that cycle. For example, if you received 50% off a $200 visit, the $100 discount is deducted from your refund.
  • The remainder is refunded to your original payment method.

No refund is owed for visits that have already been completed, for visits you missed without canceling first, or for cancellation requests submitted less than one week before the cycle ends. The refund will not be less than zero; we will not invoice you for a negative refund balance if completed-visit discounts exceed the unused-visit value.

5. Subscriber benefits

In exchange for the recurring commitment, subscribers receive:

  • Subscriber rate below our one-time pricing for the same service scope.
  • Day-before flexibility: cancel or reschedule by 8:00 PM Eastern Time the day before your service with no fee. Outside that window, the standard cancellation rules in our Cancellation Policy apply.
  • One complimentary same-day waiver every 90 days, applied at our discretion when you cancel a same-day appointment. Waivers do not stack and are tracked per account.
  • Priority access to preferred cleaning professionals.
  • Faster customer support for subscriber-tagged tickets.

6. Service delivery — what we ask of you

To make your subscription run smoothly, you agree to:

  • Provide safe and lawful access to the property at each scheduled time.
  • Keep your payment information current. If a charge fails, we’ll notify you and pause future visits until the payment method is updated.
  • Secure pets in a separate room or area.
  • Disclose hazards before service. We may decline a visit or charge an additional fee if hazards are present and were not disclosed.
  • Confirm key, lockbox, or access codes in writing if we won’t be greeted in person.

Cleaning Chief reserves the right to decline tasks outside the scope of your subscription plan. If a task isn’t covered, we’ll let you know and quote it separately if you’d like.

7. When Cleaning Chief may terminate or pause your subscription

We may terminate or pause your subscription if:

  • A subscription charge fails and is not corrected within 14 days of our notice.
  • You materially breach our Terms and Conditions or this policy.
  • A cleaning professional reports unsafe working conditions at the property.
  • We reasonably believe the engagement creates legal, safety, or reputational risk.

If we terminate for one of the reasons above, we will refund any prepaid amounts for visits not yet performed, less promotional discounts on completed visits (same calculation as §4). We will not refund the full cycle fee where service has already been performed.

If we cancel because we are unable to provide service in your area or for similar operational reasons not caused by you, we refund all prepaid amounts for unused visits in full.

8. Changes to your subscription plan

You can change your plan (frequency, scope, Vacuum Delivery tier) at any time in your account or by contacting info@cleaningchief.com. Changes take effect at the start of the next billing cycle.

If we change the price of your plan, we will:

  • Email you at least 30 days before the change takes effect.
  • Show you the new rate, the effective date, and how to cancel before the change takes effect.
  • Apply the new rate only to billing cycles that begin on or after the effective date.

You can cancel before the new rate takes effect with no fee. Your continued subscription after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new rate.

9. Limitation of liability

Cleaning Chief’s total liability for any claim arising from your subscription is limited to the greater of (a) the amount paid for the service giving rise to the claim, or (b) two times the most recent monthly invoice.

The full liability framework — including exclusions for indirect damages, third-party acts, and force majeure — is in our Terms and Conditions §9.

10. Dispute resolution

Disputes arising from your subscription are subject to the dispute-resolution provisions of our Terms and Conditions §13, including:

  • Informal resolution first (30-day window).
  • Mediation, then binding individual arbitration in New York.
  • 30-day arbitration opt-out from your first booking.
  • Class and mass-action waiver.
  • Small-claims carve-out.

If you opted out of arbitration when you first booked with Cleaning Chief, that opt-out also applies to subscription disputes. Subscribers who did not have a prior booking with Cleaning Chief may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of their first subscription charge by emailing legal@cleaningchief.com with the subject line “Arbitration Opt-Out.”

11. Changes to this Subscription Policy

We update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top reflects the most recent update.

For material changes that affect how your subscription is billed, renewed, or canceled, we give you at least 30 days’ prior notice by email and through a banner in your account. You can cancel before the change takes effect with no fee. Your continued subscription after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

For non-material changes (clarifications, formatting, contact-information updates), the change takes effect when the updated policy is posted.

We keep prior versions available on request.
